November 2009 Newsletter
Nineteen members attended our October meeting.
Thank you for your cooperation with several recent TFRs (Temporary Flight Restrictions) occurring in our area. We endeavor to get these no flying restrictions out to you as soon as we receive them. Once the club is notified by the AMA, an email is sent to the membership list. Members of the executive board also put up the No Flying sign on the frequency board during these events.
Email addresses continue to be updated and members that do not receive this message should let us know at our regular meetings or by sending an email to joe@hvfrc.org or mike@hvfrc.org. Mike and I are working to make sure the entire membership can be reached, especially in light of these recent TFRs. As always, the newsletter is also viewable on our website at: www.hvfrc.org
November is the month when any two-year member in good standing can run for a position on the executive board. If you are interested in running for President, Vice-president, Treasurer, Secretary, Webmaster or Field Marshal for 2010, you must make your interest known at this November’s meeting. Voting takes place at the December meeting/holiday party.
The December meeting is also a good time to pay your 2010 club dues via cash or check. Checks can also be sent to our PO Box. Please avoid a late fee or disruption in flying privileges by paying prior to year’s end. Remember to renew your AMA insurance as well. New HVFRC membership cards are only sent out to members meeting both these requirements.
If you have moved or have any new contact information, please see Hal at the meeting, or send a note along with your renewal check, to help keep our database up to date.
New member Rich Elkik was voted in.
See you at the field, -Electricjoe
