June 2009 Newsletter

Twenty-one members attended our May meeting.

Carl went to the Annual Joe Nall Memorial Fly-In in South Carolina and provided us with some great feedback from the event.

The radios used at Joe Noll were said to be exclusively the new 2.4 GHz systems. Lots of flying, food and camaraderie was had by all. All aircraft types were said to be represented including jets, warbirds and large scale planes and many vendors were on hand to sell their products and provide support. In total about 800 flyers over 5 days, with 5 flight lines in operation. Let the good times roll!

Rob reminded us to continue to work together to keep the field clean and safe. Kudos to Rob for his efforts in this matter. The field is in the best shape it has been in the history of our club!

Reminder, new HVFRC hats are in and are on sale for only $8. Show some pride in your club and buy a hat today!

Maynard attended the Top of New Jersey Warbird event in Newton, NJ and gave us some highlights from the event. Over 35 pilots attended with lots of scale planes.

Also, Bill was recently back from Top Gun with Dean and he updated us about their 3rd Place win in Scale. For those that don’t know, Dean is a 5-Time Top Gun Champ!

HVFRC welcomes new members Keith, and his son Jordan.

See you at the field,
